TWO HARBORS, Minn. (December 2, 2024) – Split Rock Lighthouse is now accepting submissions from photographers and artists for the 2025 season of Photography & Art at the Rock. The rotating exhibit located in the lobby of the visitor center at Split Rock Lighthouse showcases local landscape and wildlife photographers and artists.

Photographers and artists are encouraged to submit their work online through January 6, 2025. Eight artists will be selected to showcase their work at the exhibit in 2025. Selections will be announced in January.

Photography & Art at the Rock celebrates the wonder of nature and the passion of photographers and artists. Works from artists will be featured in the Split Rock Visitor Center for one month at a time throughout the year. Artists will also have the opportunity to discuss their work during onsite programs.

Accepted works include two dimensional art forms such as drawings, paintings, prints, and photographs. Art created by pencil, charcoal, ink, watercolors, and oil paints will be considered. All photographs must be created by the photographer. Digital and film are acceptable. AI-generated images will not be accepted.

Artwork must be able to hang on a wall and have a “north woods aesthetic.”
